Special areas of interest:
Orthopedics, chronic pain, trauma-informed care, and Health At Every Size®

Marjorie Edwards grew up in Tualatin, Oregon. She snowboarded and played soccer as a kid but was never much of an athlete. Instead, she spent most of her time reading and writing. She attended Southern Oregon University and graduated with honors in 2014 with a degree in creative writing. Two years later, she decided to go back to school to pursue a degree in physical therapy.

After finishing her prerequisite courses, Marjorie returned to the Portland area to attend Pacific University. During PT school, she ran her first 10K, served on the Professional Student Senate, and helped create a new anti-racism elective as part of a student-led advocacy group. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in May 2021.

Marjorie uses a multifaceted approach to treatment, including manual therapy, purposeful therapeutic exercise, and patient education. Her number one goal is to empower patients and improve function with compassionate care. Her professional areas of interest include chronic pain, trauma-informed care, and Health At Every Size®.

Marjorie has clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics, a skilled nursing facility, and a Level I hospital. She has treated patients with a wide range of orthopedic, neurologic, and surgical diagnoses, as well as patients with varying levels of abilities and independence.

When she’s not working, Marjorie enjoys reading YA novels, hiking, duck-watching, and is training for her first marathon.
